Uncovering New Pathways to Pain Management
Research Interests
01. Pain among Patients Recovered from COVID-19
My research focuses on the prevalence, characteristics, and underlying mechanisms of persistent pain experienced by individuals recovering from COVID-19 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. We aim to identify risk factors, explore the impact of this pain on quality of life, and investigate potential therapeutic interventions to improve the well-being of this growing patient population. Understanding the unique pain profiles in our local context is crucial for developing effective and culturally sensitive management strategies.
02. Efficacy of Interventional Pain Medicine
My research investigates the effectiveness of various interventional pain medicine techniques in managing chronic pain conditions. I aim to evaluate the outcomes of procedures like nerve blocks, epidural injections, and radiofrequency ablation in improving pain relief, functional capacity, and overall quality of life for patients in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I am particularly interested in optimizing patient selection criteria and refining techniques to maximize the benefits of these interventions.
