OTHER PAIN CONDITIONS

Chronic pain can arise from a wide range of causes, including physical injuries, underlying medical conditions, and other health issues. It may affect any part of the body and can significantly interfere with daily activities and overall quality of life.

CANCER PAIN

Cancer pain can arise from the tumor pressing on nerves, bones, or organs, or as a side effect of treatments like surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation. It may be acute or chronic, ranging from mild to severe, and can significantly impact quality of life.

HEADACHE

A headache is a common condition characterized by pain or discomfort in the head, scalp, or neck. It can result from a variety of causes, including tension, dehydration, stress, infections, or underlying medical issues. Headaches vary in intensity and duration, ranging from mild and occasional to severe and chronic.

SPORTS INJURY

A sports injury is physical damage sustained during athletic activities or exercise, commonly involving sprains, strains, fractures, or ligament tears. These injuries may result from overuse, improper technique, or sudden impact.

TRIGEMINAL NEURALGIA

Trigeminal neuralgia is a chronic pain condition affecting the trigeminal nerve, which carries sensation from the face to the brain. It causes sudden, severe, electric shock-like facial pain, usually on one side. Pain can be triggered by everyday activities like talking, chewing, or touching the face.

MYOFASCIAL PAIN SYNDROME

Myofascial Pain Syndrome is a chronic pain condition caused by sensitive trigger points in the muscles and surrounding fascia. It leads to deep, aching muscle pain, stiffness, and sometimes referred pain in other areas. It can result from muscle overuse, stress, or injury.

FIBROMYALGIA

Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition marked by widespread musculoskeletal pain, fatigue, and tenderness in specific areas. It is often accompanied by other symptoms such as sleep disturbances, headaches, and cognitive difficulties, commonly referred to as “fibro fog.”

CHRONIC PELVIC PAIN SYNDROME

Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome is a persistent, often complex pain condition affecting the pelvic region for several months or longer. It can involve the muscles, nerves, and organs within the pelvis and frequently occurs without an identifiable infection or injury.

CHRONIC POST-SURGICAL PAIN SYNDROME

Chronic Post-Surgical Pain Syndrome (CPSP) is persistent pain that lasts beyond the normal healing period after surgery, typically lasting more than three months. It can result from nerve damage, inflammation, or other factors related to the surgical procedure.

CENTRAL PAIN SYNDROME

Central Pain Syndrome is a chronic pain condition caused by damage to the central nervous system (brain or spinal cord). It leads to persistent, often intense pain sensations such as burning, stabbing, or aching, even without an obvious injury. Causes include stroke, multiple sclerosis, or spinal cord injury.
